Import seaweed from Korea to do food safety inspection under MARD management? How is the process done and what is the paperwork to prepare?
- Seaweed products must check food safety and hygiene according to the decision 4069 / QD-BNN-QLCL on October 14, 2015, vouchers for checking food safety and hygiene including basic documents: Invoice, Bill of Lading, Publication and Certificates other words of the goods (if any)
- Currently there are 3 units authorized to inspect food safety and hygiene, including:

+ Measurement center CL3: 49 Pasteur, P. Nguyen Thai Binh, Q1
+ Vina Control Company: 80 Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Q3
In addition, seaweed products are also subject to plant quarantine according to Decision 2515 / QD-BNN-BVTV July 1, 2015
Inspection of food hygiene and safety:
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 14 of Decree No. 38/2012 / ND-CP dated April 25, 2012 of the Government stipulating the inspection of imported foods:
"All kinds of food, food materials, food additives, processing aids, tools, packaging materials, containing food when imported into Vietnam must be checked at the inspection agency.
