Request with used equipment:
- Used equipment is imported when meeting the following criteria:
a. Age of equipment does not exceed 10 years.
b. Manufactured according to the standards in accordance with the provisions of the National Technical Regulation (QCVN) or National Standards (TCVN) of Vietnam or in conformity with G7 standards of safety and energy saving. and environmental protection.
- For used equipment of investment projects, including new investment projects and expanded investment projects, under the following cases:
a. The project is subject to investment policy decision.
b. Projects subject to implementation of procedures for issuance of investment registration certificates are not subject to investment policy decisions. If the investment project dossier has a list of used equipment and is approved by the agency competent to decide the investment policy, the investment registration agency shall issue an investment registration certificate according to the provisions of the Law. Investment does not apply to regulations that do not exceed 10 years. In case of necessity, the agency competent to decide on investment policies, the investment registration body may consult the technical agency of the specialized science and technology for appraisal of the equipment. used in the project file before deciding investment policy or granting investment registration certificate.
- For used components, spare parts and replacement parts: Only imported when the manufacturing enterprise needs to repair or replace the equipment being operated at the enterprise. Manufacturing enterprises can import or authorize other enterprises to import.
- However, in case of necessity, depending on the characteristics of each branch or field assigned to the management, the Ministers of the Ministries and the Heads of the ministerial-level agencies shall issue lower requirements on equipment age. with used equipment (less than 10 years) and inform the Ministry of Science and Technology for unified management.
