Question: My company intends to import roundwood and sawn timber from Malaysia, ask what documents the seller needs to provide documents and what importer does my company need?

In order to carry out customs procedures for importing any kind of wood into Vietnam, the first thing you need to care about is whether that wood is included in the CITES list. But most of the current timber importers are not listed under CITES.
The seller (Malaysia) needs to provide the company with the Invoice, packing list, contract, and the list of timber specifications is good, mainly quarantine from the beginning of the foreign country is the most important because if not, then Quarantine authorities in Vietnam will not allow the shipment to be quarantined, must ask them before trading.

Plant quarantine dossiers:
Certificate of plant quarantine registration
Plant quarantine certificate issued by a competent plant quarantine body of the exporting country;
Import quarantine permit.

Application for a License
Copies of the contract of commercial agreement between the parties concerned
Copies of business registration certificates or business registration certificates (for cases of registration) or investment certificates (for cases of foreign-invested enterprises); Identity card or passport with individuals (Only when exporting for the first time).
