Hiện nay, việc nhập khẩu mỹ phẩm được thực hiện theo Thông tư 06/2011/TT-BYT ngày 25/01/2011 của Bộ Y tế quy định về quản lý mỹ phẩm. Theo đó: Các sản phẩm mỹ phẩm đã được Cục Quản lý Dược - Bộ Y tế cấp số tiếp nhận Phiếu công bố sản phẩm mỹ phẩm còn hiệu lực được phép nhập khẩu vào Việt Nam. Thủ tục nhập khẩu thực hiện tại cơ quan Hải quan theo quy định hiện hành. Khi làm thủ tục nhập khẩu, doanh nghiệp xuất trình với cơ quan Hải quan Phiếu công bố sản phẩm mỹ phẩm đã được Cục Quản lý dược - Bộ Y tế cấp số tiếp nhận.
