Căn cứ khoản 2 Điều 3 Quyết định số 51/QĐ-TTg ngày 12/9/2011 của Thủ tướng Chính phủ thì: Đối với các nhóm thiết bị công nghiệp, thiết bị văn phòng và thương mại từ ngày 01 tháng 01 năm 2015, không được phép nhập khẩu và sản xuất các thiết bị có mức hiệu suất năng lượng thấp hơn mức hiệu suất năng lượng tối thiểu. Khi doanh nghiệp nhập khẩu hàng hóa thuộc danh mục và tiêu chuẩn áp dụng mức hiệu suất năng lượng tối thiểu phải thực hiện theo quy định hiện hành.
