IMPORT PROCEDURES SEED CORN

Question:
We are in need of importing corn grain from the US and Argentina for animal feed. So please advise how much is the import tax? And how much is the VAT?

Reply:

 - Corn grain item on the list of commodities subject to plant quarantine under Section 11; subject to food safety inspection according to Section 12, Appendix 1- HS code table for the list of goods under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development according to Circular No. 15/2018 / TT-BNNPTNT dated 29/10/2018 by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development

- Import tax rates are looked up on the list of goods subject to import tax according to Appendix II - Preferential import tariff according to the list of taxable goods issued together with Decree No. 125/2017 / ND-CP November 16, 2017 is amended and supplemented in Decree No. 57/2020 / ND-CP of the Government.

The United States and Argentina are countries with most favored nation relations with Vietnam announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, so they will apply the preferential tax rates specified in the above Preferential Import Tariffs.

- The VAT rate is based on the current VAT Schedule of the Ministry of Finance in accordance with Circular 83/2014 / TT-BTC.
