New point in the management of used machinery from April 1

 The Customs Department has just issued documents guiding the implementation of customs procedures for the import of used machinery, equipment and technological lines.
 
Currently, the General Department of Customs has completed the construction of a technical solution on the VNACCS / VCIS system to manage used machinery, equipment and technological lines.
Accordingly, from April 1, 2020, when registering the import customs declaration for goods belonging to Chapter 84 or Chapter 85, the declarant shall declare in the first box in the 5 boxes declaring the codes. The rule of law is based on the following principles:
For unused goods, the code "MO" will be declared; For used goods, they will declare code "CU".
In case the customs declarant does not declare according to the above principles, the system will refuse to register the enterprise's declaration.
According to the General Department of Customs, with the construction of the above-mentioned technical solution, it will strictly manage used machines, equipment, technological lines, and avoid taking advantage of policies to attract and encourage investment. to bring into Vietnam old and outdated machines and equipment of poor quality, failing to meet production and business requirements, increasing product prices, causing environmental pollution, reducing competitiveness of enterprises.
